Connexions Cumbria provides information; advice, guidance and personal development support to all young all people aged 13-19 and up to the age of 25 for young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.

Since the establishment of Connexions Cumbria in 2001 we have worked hard to develop and deliver a high quality service that meets the needs of young people in Cumbria.  The Service has been delivered in partnership with the statutory and voluntary sector and has involved young people in its design and development.

In the autumn of 2003 the Connexions Partnership was inspected by Ofsted. The final report describes Connexions Cumbria as a 'good partnership, providing good value for money' and 'making a real difference... to the lives of young people in the County'.

A thorough and comprehensive self-assessment process is in place and alongside the recent Ofsted report, plus a number of stakeholder surveys, this forms a good basis for the future development of the Company and Service.
