LSCB Annual Report 2010-11
"This is the second Annual Report for Cumbria’s Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and covers the year April 2010 to March 2011. The purpose of the Annual Report is to provide an account of what the Board has achieved over the previous year, and to give partners a view on the effectiveness of procedures for safeguarding children in Cumbria.
This has been an extremely active year both for the LSCB locally and for LSCBs nationally, triggered in part by the publication of the Munro Report. This government commissioned report has endorsed the role of the LSCB as the key statutory body responsible for monitoring how effectively services and professionals are working together to safeguard children. Cumbria was one of 4 authorities who worked with the Munro team during the development of the Report, and that work is ongoing.
