Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA)

New dates are now available for the One and Two Day Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses.  Delivered by our multi-agency YMHFA trainer network, these courses are subsidised by more than 50% and all trainers are MHFA Accredited and Registered

The One Day YMHFA Course 

Whilst designed initially for staff working in schools, this one day course is equally relevant for anyone working with children and young people aged 8 – 18 years.  It covers the key issues impacting on young people’s mental health today such as social media, peer pressure, bullying and family breakdown.   Mental health issues discussed include depression, suicide, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders and psychosis, recovery and resilience.

The YMHFA One Day Course is accredited by Mental Health First Aid England and qualifies participants as YMHFA Champions.  

Places cost £85 and lunch is not provided

The Two Day YMHFA Course 

The two day course covers the background to children and young people’s mental health and from a first aid context looks in further detail at anxiety and depression, self-harm and suicide, psychosis, eating disorders and recovery over two full days.  

The two day YMHFA course is accredited by Mental Health First Aid England and qualifies participants as Youth Mental Health First Aiders.   

Places cost £125 and lunch is not provided
